Alyssa Komac, DVM

Dr. Alyssa Komac was born and raised in Montana where she developed her love of animals and the outdoors.  Summers between semesters at The University of Montana were spent working for Alaska Icefield Expeditions in various roles, including handling and mushing.  Dr. Komac finished the Two Rivers 200 and Sheep Mountain 200 dogsled races while living in Two Rivers, Alaska as she was preparing for veterinary school.  While living the Northern life, she acquired her most precious souvenir, a retired sled dog named Blondie.

Dr. Komac is a graduate of Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine.  She is passionate about preventative veterinary care, sled dog medicine and husbandry, and emergency and critical care medicine.  She loves a good book, tea, traveling, horseback riding, learning new skills and helping animals and their families.

Dr. Komac is a proud member of AVMA, AAHA, ISDVMA, & VECCS.
